‘Broadcasting the archive – The publication’
The aim of the project was to re-activate and mediate the Arte Útil’s archive within and beyond the museum’s context using tools, archive cards, sound and video documents, interviews, etc which are part of the archive. Every activity, program or project, developed rhizomatically thanks to the contribution of users who added significant content to the project.
Therefore, the publication is conceived not only as a documentation of the process but also as a tool, where readers will find more questions than answers. Every iteration of Broadcasting the archive has a dedicated chapter that functions independently from the others. It gathers the description of the activity, its participants, archive cards used during the workshops, images, essays and interviews.
The whole series is kept together by an introduction which consists of a map where readers can see where the project travelled and add as well their locations, and an envelope to gather the toolkits developed during the programs.
